London courts Dutch businesses ahead of 2012

Think London, the foreign direct investment agency for London, will co-host a seminar with The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, London which will be showcasing opportunities for Dutch businesses looking to expand and grow in London as it prepares to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.

The Netherlands is the UK’s 3rd largest source of inward investment after the USA and France, accounting for £3.64billion of the annual £52billion foreign direct investment into London. The London economy is forecast to grow by £43 billion by 2012, with the games set to contribute £4 billion worth of investment over the next four years alone.

There are a number of major Anglo-Dutch companies in the UK including Royal Dutch Shell, Unilever, Reed Elsevier, Reckitt Benckiser and P&O Nedlloyd.
