How to access the
supply chain to the large contracts
- We also know that for every large contract awarded there will be many more in the supply
chain which provide opportunities for investors. For this reason we are working closely with
the relevant parties to understand who wins the contracts and identify how you can access them.
When the mechanism for managing these contracts is released we will ensure you know how and where
to access these so you do not miss out.

Key business information that you need to know and what you should do
- This is a large and complicated project and there is a lot of published information for all
communities. We will distil for you the key and relevant business information that you need to know
– and advise you monthly what we suggest you do about it. For example in April we summarised the
2012 Procurement process into a page of 5 things an investor should know so you can save time.

Access
to our specialist consultants
- Finally, given the significance of the 2012 Games and the opportunity it represents, we have invested in a small team of consultants to specialise in the games – to know what is going on and when – so they can help you.
We held a series of one to one meetings with businesses in cities across North America as part of our Route to 2012 campaign, 2009-10.
We met with companies to discuss the business opportunities London has to offer, including around the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.
Our visit also highlighted the opportunities around legacy post the 2012 Games for those companies wishing to consider the longer term opportunities in London.
