Think London’s principal funding partners are the London Development Agency (LDA) — the Mayor of London’s agency for sustainable economic development — and our network of Commercial Partners. How does Think London fit in with other local London goverment agencies?
We act as the central and first point of contact in London for all overseas investors. Most of our clients contact us through the British embassy or consulate in their country, who we have strong links with worldwide. We work closely with the UK’s regional development agencies via UK Trade and Investment to ensure overseas business receive the support they need to succeed in the UK. We introduce our clients to useful organisations — such as London’s regional agencies and professional service providers — depending on their target location and aims. Who runs Think London?
Think London is run by some of the most experienced leaders in business and government. Our business-led board is made up of non-executive directors representing a cross-section of UK and international business and central and local government. When were you founded?
We were established in 1994 as London First Centre — the official foreign direct investment agency for London — a partnership between the private sector and local and central government. To mark our tenth anniversary in 2004, we re-branded as Think London, marking a new era for us in terms of raising our and London’s business profile to an international audience. Find out more
